Dr. Alison Rodger

I am a Geriatrician working in the Department of Geriatric Medicine at St. Joseph’s Hospital since 2018. I completed my Bachelor of Science at St. Francis Xavier University in 2009, and I graduated from medical school at Dalhousie University in Halifax in 2013. I completed my training in Internal Medicine (2016) and Geriatric Medicine (2018) at Dalhousie University. I am happy to be back home practicing medicine in the community that I grew up in. I became a member of the St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation board in 2021. I am passionate about providing high-quality care to older adults, and I enjoy teaching medical learners about the principles of Geriatric Medicine. I strive to be an advocate for frail seniors and for people who are living with dementia. I am excited to be part of the board where our goal is to raise funds to enhance health care delivery at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Outside of work, I am happiest when I am spending time with my family.
