Tissue donations improve healthcare outcomes and save lives. The Eye and Tissue Bank serves other Atlantic Regions processing corneas retrieved in St. John's Newfoundland. Urgent Care (506-632-5511)
The Urgent Care Centre at Horizon’s St. Joseph’s Hospital offers care to patients who have unexpected non-life-threatening illnesses or injuries requiring same-day medical attention. The Urgent Care Centre triages and treats patients according to a “worst-first” approach. The medical team includes physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, and licensed practical nurses, who have immediate access to diagnostic testing such as X-rays and ultrasounds for urgent services to patients where appropriate.
